In response to a recent consolidation effort by Microsoft, wherein they merged the Planner and Projects applications into a unified service alongside MS Todo (more details here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/planner-blog/the-new-microsoft-planner-a-unified-experience-bringing-together/ba-p/3977998), coupled with the unavailability of APIs for Projects, we have opted to maintain only the browser extension integration. We eagerly await the release of the new Planner before considering further integration options.
